The event organised in conjunction with the main gardens of the Grandi Giardini Italiani network is back, scheduled for Monday 1st April!

Desire to explore, lunch basket and picnic blanket will be the elements for a fun-filled day with friends!

On Monday 1st April from 10am to 6pm, Villa Reale di Marlia is ready to host the event signed by Grandi Giardini Italiani, reached its 27th edition.

Participate is very simple:  purchase the ticket online in the dedicated section of our shop, send an email (at least on 27/03) so to request the english version of the clues, then arrive at the entrance of Villa Reale on the day on event whenever you prefer from 10AM, no later than 4pm (otherwise you will have to rush to find the treasure!) where you’ll receive the map to start discovering our garden.

A proposal created to bring children closer to the huge plants’ heritage of our park, spending a day with family and friends.

We are already at work to create a new path that will lead little explorers to discover the world of plants, amidst curiosity and riddles. There will be ten clues that will allow you to find where the treasure is hidden.

To complete the day ‘en plein air’, all you have to do is enjoy a picnic in the areas around the lake: bring everything you need or let yourself be delighted by the proposals of the Villa Reale Café and of Mixi Gastropub!

You will find sandwiches and cakes at the Cafés of Villa Reale, while Mixi Gastropub will have grills for Hot Dogs, Cheeseburgers and Pulled Pork!

Who is the hunt for? Children aged 3 to 17 – the little ones can still enter the park and play with their families.
How does it take place? Children go in search of the botanical treasure together with their families and friends following the map given at the entrance gate. Once you have found all the clues and solved the riddles, you will find out where the treasure is! Each child will take home a small prize.
At what time?  You can arrive whenever you prefer from 10 AM until 4PM, last recommended entry.
How much does it cost?
–Infants 0-2 years: Free – in this case there is no final prize, otherwise select the €8 ticket so as to reserve the themed prize for them too.
–Children from 3 to 17 years: €8 – to participate to the treasure hunt with the final prize. This ticket allows them to enter museums.
–Adults from 18 to 64 years: €12 park only, €18 park + museums
–Over 65: €9 park only, €15 park + museums
Where can I buy tickets? Buy now your ticket, selecting 01/04 on the calendar.
How to access the park with the online ticket? Once you have purchased your ticket online, you will receive your electronic tickets via email. Please reply to this email so to request the english version of the cues. On the day of the event, we ask you to go directly at the entrance gate with the QRcode received, the digital copy will be sufficient.
Can I purchase tickets on the day of the event? Only in case of residual availability.
Is it possible to have lunch in the park? The Cafè Villa Reale will be at your disposal with cold dishes, artisan foccacce, cakes and ice creams continuously from 10:30 to 17:30. Table reservations are not accepted.
Where is it possible to enjoy a picnic? Picnics are possible in the side areas of the lake, making sure you leave no trace when you are done.
If we are more families can we play together? Yes, you will choose when to start the treasure hunt once you have entered.
How long does the hunt last? On average 1 hour. You can stay in the park even after the hunt is over, by 6pm.
In case of rain? The event will still take place, in which case we recommend rubber boots for a playful adventure!
Is the ticket refundable? No, it is valid only for the chosen date; if you can’t come you can give it to others. Once the corresponding tickets have been delivered, they will not be given back to others who present themselves with the same order number.
Do season ticket holders have to buy a ticket? Only for children participating in the hunt and reply to the ticket receipt email indicating that there are no adults in the order because you are season ticket holders.
