Villa Reale di Marlia reopens its doors February with extraordinary openings on Saturdays and Sundays of Febraury from 10am to 6pm!
The possibility of walking in the gardens of Villa Reale di Marlia returns with the very first camellias blooming, for a real anticipation of spring.
The quiet of the park in winter will allow you to relax among the sixteen hectares of greenery, discovering the first buds of the camellias appearing among the paths next to the stream.
In addition to a walk around the gardens, the two museums will be regularly open: an opportunity to immerse yourself in the history of the property discovering one of the most important examples of the Empire style in Italy inside two floors of the Villa Reale, restored just a few years ago.
For those who do not yet know the creativity of Countess Mimì Pecci Blunt – a leading cultural figure of the last century – will have the opportunity to find out her bizarre collections which include a room dedicated to her uncle Pope Leo XIII, a collection of unique pieces from indigenous American populations, as well as dolls in traditional costumes for a real tour of cultures from around the world.
The usual appointment with daily openings from Friday 1 March is confirmed, in addition to the renewed collaboration with the Camelieto di Sant’Andrea and Pieve di Compito and with the “Exhibition of the Ancient Camellias of Lucca”, now in its 35th edition.
