Itineraries and promotions for groups
Villa Reale di Marlia is an impressive destination for visitors of all ages, whether in small or larger groups. The Park extends over 16 hectares and is unique for its wide variety of gardens and architecture within its walls – gems are to be discovered around every corner, with constantly varying, breath taking views.
We have created tailor-made itineraries for groups visiting the park and museums for an unforgettable experience:
March 2024: Lucca Historic Camellia Exhibition
On the occasion of the Lucca Historic Camellia Exhibition at Sant’Andrea di Compito (in the province of Lucca), the park of Villa Reale will be showing over 50 historic varieties of camellia along its two ‘Camellia Walkways’. The flowers arrived in the gardens when they were introduced by Elisa Baciocchi at the beginning of the 1800s.
If you have bought a ticket to access the Camellia show in Sant’Andrea di Compito, you are eligible for a discount for weekday entrance to the Villa estate (where there are many historic species of Camellia, and whose buildings have been recently opened to the public). The reduced ticket costs €11 instead of €18. Please note that this offer is not valid on Saturday or Sunday.
Sensory route: a new way to experience history
One of the most original activities in the park of Villa Reale in Marlia is the experience of the sensory route – discovering the park through your sense of smell. The ‘scents and sensations’ trail at Villa Reale will transport you back in time with the power of plant perfume!
A unique visitor experience which traces Elisa’s passion for botany. Experiencing the scents of the past offers a direct link with the park and Villa’s history.
Born from an idea of Simonetta Giurlani Pardini with “Napoleone and Elisa: from Paris to Tuscany” Association, in the collaboration with Paolo Emilio Tomei, professor at the University of Pisa.
